Mecca Has 'Big Ben'

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, Mecca - the world's largest clock tower was built soon near the holy city of Mecca. Saudi Arabian Government's plans to finish the project until the beginning of Ramadan later.
The project was developed by two engineers from Germany and Switzerland, which oversees the experts from various countries in Europe and the World. So far the project has lasted three months.
As reported the Saudi Press Agency, August 4, the building which would defeat the legendary Big Ben clock tower, measuring 601 meters tall with a height of hours until 251meter. With this tower, future residents could see the sights of the city of Mecca is up to 7 km.

Style of architecture adopted many Islamic cultures. Special design of clock was made into four parts. God's name will be inscribed in each of the four sections that hour.
To kemudahaan visitors, the tower clock will dilengkap two elevators. The plan, this building will be placed near the five towers of King Abdul Aziz charitable projects facing the holy city of Mecca.
